first day of school fun!

back to school fun with a special breakfast, first day of school pennant flags and DIY banner!

I can’t believe summer is over and we’re headed back to school! This time was extra fun with Ethan starting preschool, so it was fun for him to finally be a part of the first day excitement too! Every year since Lauren began Kindergarten, I have set up a little breakfast party the night before, and prepped an easy breakfast that I just have to set out once the kids wake up. I feel like having a special breakfast together eases the nerves a bit by spending time together and making sure they eat a good breakfast! (and helps me be more organized and prepared too!) This year I was so excited to use these super cute paper backpack treat bags from A Little Confetti - I packed them up with the little stickers they came with for the kids to decorate, as well as some fun school supplies and goodies!

I also used these notebook plates, and crayon napkins to create a fun place setting! I made some carrot-apple muffins, and used the stickers from the treat bags to make little toppers and they turned out so cute!
