Every year I like to make a new set of ornaments to add to our tree. We have a small collection of special ornaments, but the majority of our ornaments are handmade. I love the simple, Scandinavian look of using neutral, natural materials like wood, felt, yarn and glass with our less-than-perfect tree we cut down ourselves from the forest!

materials

• twine

• wooden beads (assorted shapes/sizes, I found mine at the dollar store)

• scissors

• cut a long piece of twine and fold in have, tie a knot about 2.5” inches from the folded end.

• string on beads (I put a small bead on the top, and added 5 or so assorted beads. I made 10 ornaments, and I wanted them to all be different!)

• add another small bead at the bottom and tie a knot to secure. trim off excess twine.
