valentine's day ice cream party

For Valentine’s Day this year, we decided to celebrate with an ice cream party! I made a little sign that said “we all love ice cream” and made a little pink and white striped awning out of poster paper to add a little ice cream shop feel to our set up!

To save on time/money, I just filled regular light pink balloons with air and attached them to the wall with double sided tape, and left a little pink ribbon hanging from each one to look like they were helium balloons! I think it worked out pretty well! I also used my cricut to add the vinyl letters to the heart shaped mylar balloons with the phrases “your’re the cherry on top” and “you’re the sweetest”. The kids each got a heart balloon and heart-shaped sunglasses!

For a fun treat, I added these sweet little surprise balls into the tops of the ice cream cones! As you unwrap them, there are layers of fun things like jokes, stickers, and a bracelet inside! I set the table with these cute pink checkered plates, heart napkins, and these wooden spoons with a pink hearts on them.

I put out little paper cups to make sundaes (along with strawberries, raspberries and sprinkles), chocolate and strawberry topping sauce, and vanilla and strawberry ice cream. Oh - and of course cherries to put on top!
