little lucky charms st. patrick's day party

I may not like green beer… but rainbows, breakfast treats and an excuse to party? Sign me up!

When I was growing up - our house NEVER had the fun sugary cereals. Like never. Well, 25+ years later… I have to say, I actually prefer the plain ones! That is, except for about once a year when we buy Lucky Charms as a special treat for St. Patrick’s Day!

For party snacks (lunch?) we made green pancakes and topped them off with whipped cream and Lucky Charms! We also made our favourite green smoothie and cut up some fruit that I put on a little gold tray.

I used a gold fringe garland and this little sparkly gold heart banner that I already had. I grabbed some acrylic paint from my craft stash and painted some rainbows on these cork placemats to add a little rainbow cheer to the place settings! I already had some green + white balloons, and we sprinkled some green confetti on the table (what’s a party without confetti!) For the tableware, I got everything from A Little Confetti - I used green paper plates, yellow napkins with a fun little neon scalloped edge, and coral straws.

We ate treats, played with balloons and had a little dance party - it was so much fun, even if it was just the 3 of us at home! What else is there to do?! It’s definitely fun to do something different and surprise the kids with a little party set up!
